Horizontal shadow cast by the transverse pipe, vertical shadow cast by the projecting lath to the right of the vent; vertical and horizontal shadow cast by the 'L' pipe. Study of these 'shadows' gives information concerning the lateral and upward angle of the center of the explosion.
